Vision AI
meter reading
A compact battery camera mounts next to the gauge you already have and reads it. Analog needles, odometer registers, seven-segment LCDs and equipment displays become readings in the cloud, without touching the instrument, the pipework or the warranty.
THE PROBLEM
Replacing a meter is often harder than reading it
Plants in oil and gas, utilities and manufacturing are full of meters that work perfectly but cannot send data. Swapping them for connected instruments means changing the machine design, rewiring, cutting into pipelines, risking the equipment warranty and dealing with data anomalies during the changeover.
Our customers wanted the reading, not a new meter. So we built a device that takes a photograph of the existing one and lets a cloud AI model do the reading.
HOW IT WORKS
From photo to reading
1. Mount
A mounting plate fixes the camera in front of the meter. No display, no wiring into the instrument.
2. Capture
The camera takes an image on the schedule you set, from once a day to several times a day.
3. Read
The image goes to the cloud, where the AI model interprets the dial, register or display and records the value.
4. Check
Low-confidence readings are flagged, so a glare-covered or obstructed image is reviewed instead of trusted.
5. Report
Readings flow into the cloud application for trends, alarms and reports, with exports to PDF and Excel.
Long battery life
The target is at least a year on one battery at one reading a day. More frequent captures shorten that, and external power is available.

FAQ
Questions buyers ask us
Does the reading happen on the device?
No. The device captures the image and sends it to the cloud, where the AI model reads it. That keeps the device small and the battery life long.
How accurate is it?
It depends on the meter type, lighting, mounting and image quality. Low-confidence readings are flagged rather than passed on, and we confirm accuracy on your meters during a pilot.
How long does the battery last?
The target is at least one year at one reading a day. More readings per day shorten the life, and external power is an option.
What if the network is unavailable?
The device stores up to 25 images in flash and sends them when it can.
Have meters you need to read remotely?
Send us photos of the gauges and tell us how often you need a reading. We will confirm the setup and plan a pilot on your meters.
