Engineering that thinks ahead.
We build ahead of the curve. We create the systems, platforms, and intelligence layers that shape the future, grounded in honesty about where we've been, clarity on where we're going, and a decade of experience in connected technology.
Our Story
We started with an honest observation:
the industry builds in silos.
We break them down.
RNDSquare, part of RIOD, was founded by engineers who saw the same failure pattern repeat across connected product companies: hardware teams, software teams, and AI teams working in isolation, then struggling to integrate at the end. Products shipped late, broke in the field, and failed to scale.
We built RNDSquare to own the entire system, from edge hardware and firmware to cloud platforms, data pipelines, and Vision AI. Because real-world deployment demands true integration. Our HDC (Hardware Development Center) and SDC (Software Development Center) work as a single, unified engineering team, collaborating across every layer.
Today we operate from Infopark, Kochi, a Special Economic Zone engineered for deep-tech companies. Our clients range from European startups to large industrial enterprises, and they choose us for a simple reason: we take full engineering ownership, well beyond standard delivery contracts.
How We Work
Three principles. Built in from day one.
Honest Growth
We grew by solving hard problems worth solving
Every vertical we operate in: EV, Vision AI, IoT, Product Engineering, emerged because real clients needed us to go deeper. We expanded only when we were truly ready, driven by real demand.
Earned Trust
Long-term partnerships built to last
Most of our client relationships span multiple years. We optimise for lasting impact, staying invested in our partners' product roadmaps and long-term success.
Real Environments
We build for the real world, every time
Harsh environments, unreliable connectivity, cost constraints: these are core design inputs from the start. Our systems are built to work where it matters most.
Our Thinking
A decade of building gives you pattern recognition no whitepaper can teach.
“True innovation lives in the discipline of asking, at every stage of design, will this still hold when the world around it changes?”
Akhil Joy,
Director of Projects
We've seen what happens when connected products scale successfully, and what happens when they fall short. We've debugged firmware issues in cellular modules running across three continents. We've built Edge systems that had to deliver >99% accuracy in dusty, high-vibration manufacturing lines. We've engineered EV charging infrastructure that had to survive both monsoon seasons and winters.
This experience shapes how we approach every new engagement: with scepticism about shortcuts, respect for physical constraints, and absolute clarity on what "done" means in a production environment. We share what we learn through case studies, technical insights, and honest conversations with our partners, because the industry gets better when knowledge moves freely.
Where We're Headed
The next decade of connected systems will be smarter, faster, and harder to build.
We're already investing in the capabilities that will define embedded and connected technology over the next ten years. These are production-grade platforms our clients can build on today.
Our S3 Framework (Shape → Scale → Sustain) is the architecture we apply to every innovation we pursue: prove it at the edge, scale it across a system, sustain it through the full product lifecycle.
Edge AI at Scale
Deploying intelligent inference directly on constrained hardware, fully cloud-independent, with real-time decisions and field-proven reliability through our IVQ Vision platform.
Next-Gen EV Infrastructure
Building the charging and energy management systems that EV adoption at scale will demand, across European and Indian regulatory environments.
Autonomous Monitoring Systems
From railway infrastructure to industrial assets, developing self-diagnosing, predictive systems that reduce human intervention in critical environments.
Manufacturing-Ready Hardware Design
Closing the gap between prototype and mass production. Our HDC embeds DFM principles from day one, baked into the design from the very start.
Leadership
The people who carry both the vision and the engineering responsibility.
At RNDSquare, leadership is a hands-on technical and strategic commitment. Every director is deeply involved, accountable for real outcomes, and directly accessible to our client partners.
